LAMC Foundation
  Mission

Los Angeles Medical Center Foundation was formed to give affordable health care to those in need in Los Angeles.

There are millions of people that make too much money to qualify for medical/Medicare but not enough to afford commercial coverage, so LAMCF provides services to be there for the community which is an effect of system and is caught in the middle.

LAMF currently provides a free clinic in low income areas on certain days of the month where a family could come for a physical, OB care, pediatric care, etc.

LAMF is supported by people that believe everyone has the right to be able to see a doctor and live a healthy life. They believe in prevention to illness or disease by being proactive and preventative. After the fact, can be too late, costly and no one wins.

In addition, LAMC is also involved in the following activities:

1. Free clinics for the poor and destitute segments of the population
2. Conducting free health classes in Spanish
3. Renting space from schools in order to conduct classes to increase awareness and prevention of diabetes, hypertension, cancer and heart diseases Classes will be initially conducted monthly and weekly thereafter.
4. Looking into the medical needs of the poor and provide wherever possible, medical services they cannot obtain elsewhere.

The Foundation recruits doctors to donate their time/services to the clinics.
